Jamieson is pleased to announce that it has advised the management team of Miller Homes, one of the UK’s leading homebuilders, on the sale of the business from Bridgepoint Group plc (“Bridgepoint”) to funds managed by Apollo (NYSE: APO) affiliates.
Established in 1934, Miller Homes is a premier homebuilder in the UK with a focus on building high-quality family homes in regional markets in England and Scotland. On track for a record 2021, Miller Homes builds approximately 4,000 homes a year across nine regions with ambitions to grow to 6,000 units annually in the medium-term.
Chris Endsor, Miller Homes Chief Executive Officer, commented: “This is an exciting development for Miller Homes in continuing our recent strong momentum. Apollo has deep housing expertise, with a global platform, extensive resources and capital to create value for all stakeholders. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Jamieson for the second time. They have unrivalled market knowledge and this combined with their consistently high quality professional service, friendly and focussed approach and guidance throughout ensured my management team and I received quality advice of the highest order and I was delighted with the outcome. I highly recommend them.”
Stephen Maxwell, Partner at Jamieson, commented: “We are delighted to have advised Chris and the management team at Miller Homes. We advised the team four years ago at the time of Bridgepoint’s investment and the team have delivered an excellent outcome for all stakeholders since then. I am sure the business will go from strength-to-strength in the next phase of its journey with Apollo.”
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2022.
The Jamieson team of Ian Jamieson, Stephen Maxwell, Henry Balcerak and Alison Dunning advised the Miller Homes management team on the terms of the transaction.
